Posted by on August 22nd, 2008Blizzard begins it’s new era of marketing onslaught for their upcoming Expansion for the World of WarCraft, after the Burning Crusade expansion, with a tight new cinematic that features Mister Good Guy turn Badass. We have covered Blizzard’s astounding commercial success with this product time and time again on this blog. Here I have their new video for Wrath of the Lich King that really sets the pace in awesome computer generated 3-D graphics.

Don’t consider yourself poor or unfortunate for not having been able to play GTA 4 yet. There are thousands like us out there that haven’t. According to Associated Press, the launch of this game could be the most lucrative franchise in gaming history! Even more than last year’s, over hyped, Halo 3.
Anyhoo, the good guys over at Kotaku have assembled a list of 40 questions that needed answering straight off, and entertaining a lot more in the comments sections of the GTA 4 FAQ:
15. Do helicopters have weapons?
Some do. Good luck hitting anything with the mini-guns! You might have better luck taking out foes with the chopper’s blades.28. Can you run police, fireman, or taxi extra missions in GTA IV?
You can take on police missions via the LCPD computer. There’s one in every cop car. You can earn taxi missions, but they’re handled through one of your friends. We haven’t seen any fireman missions, but we have taken the fire truck out for spin (and pedestrian hose-down).34. How much does the phone tie into gameplay?
It ties in very heavily. Niko will use it to make and receive calls, remind him of appointments, take pictures, call cabs, phone in favors, and more. Need a cop car? Call 911, wait for the LCPD, then carjack it. The cell phone is also your entry point for accessing multiplayer games.

The simplest most absurd excuse I would give to my recent absence from this blog is all due to my preoccupation with something we call life. Yep, in all good things, life gets in the way. Currently I have relocated to a new city and posting from here like getting to play CS on an American server. Worry not, since this will end soon and I will be back to posting with the same frequency. What kills me is that I’m missing talking about all the interesting gaming news going out there. I can’t even find the time to read my news feeds completely.
Oh well, I might as well go back to what I was doing. Mean while you guys go ahead and take a look around at some of the older stories that we have covered. Bye.

Hi Everyone,
This is zEro, your very own community founder, hope you are all doing well. I was looking for people who are interested in some high profile freelance news, scene and general CounterStrike coverage for and from Pakistan…
I have a blog going-on on gamer.pk on which I and another friend of mine post mostly about WarCraft, StarCraft, WoW, CoD, and related news. I feel we are very shorthanded at the moment and would prefer a few volunteers who have some interest in online journalism and gaming. As time approaches, this blog will mature into something bigger (we’ll discuss that later) and eventually a better opportunity for anyone who wishes to join in the fun and post on this blog.
The candidate will be expected to post atleast 2 ~ 4 times a week, regarding general CS news, clan news and updates, tourneys, random thoughts on the game, strategies and players. The writer’s contributions will add up to his portfolio as an online journalist and it would make it easier for him to launch himself from there onto bigger sites like GotFrag, FiringSquad, or even SK. What would help? A good command on English, some previous experience in this work, good manners and familiarity with the gaming scene.

I am sorry for not having a lot of posting to do lately, I am preoccupied with ‘college life’, and with the finals coming up I will have even less time to post. But after that I will try to make up for all the lost time. The Eid and Christmas season is here, happy both to you.

He is the greatest teacher!

Today I read a really saddening news about the loss of family member of a friend. He was and is the greatest teacher I will ever have. He is a jolly person and very amicable. He taught me some crucial courses at my university and an avid gamer friend of ours, Umair Azfar. I would like to take this opportunity to send him my condolences on the death of his beloved Mother! May God give him strength and courage in this testing time. Amen! He is still the greatest teacher and great gamer!
