WCG 2008: Pakistan off to a Good Start!
In Counter-Strike 1.6, International, News, Tournaments, WarCraft 3, World Cyber Games 2008.

Day 1 at World Cyber Games 2008 has ended and with some encouraging results from the WarCraft 3 department, currently being represented solely by Bilal Rasheed. Bilal is an accomplished user of the Night Elf race.
Bilal’s, Group D, group had his international teammate Kim from the Chinese Taipei, the Croat P1nke and the German underdog S.o.K.o.L. He managed to win 4 out of 6 games leading to a three way tie between him, P1nke, and S.o.K.o.L. But after the tie-breakers, it was S.o.K.o.L who won the second qualifying spot form the group.
Friends from all over the world praised Bilal’s performance in the tournament. This is for the first time that someone this young has accomplished something like this.
As the matches for other games begin on Day 2, we wait, hope and pray that they too can have a bunch of good games. Pakistan is also taking part in Counter Strike 1.6 and FIFA 2008 tournaments, as blogged about this earlier!
Thanks to Tamjeed aka Lust, Rafey aka TheGame, and Kermyyy for the heads up.
Stay tuned for Day 2 updates tonight. Follow the rest of the tournament on their website, here.
I am afraid, with the current situation of the internet in Pakistan, we can only observe matches through Waaaghtv (WC3 only) and a few live streams (Link) for the time being. Replays and demos will be posted as soon as possible. Download Waaaghtv here! [Thx Rafey]

Incredibles won Simplex! Not bad at all. Also went 14-16 against Assasins List from UAE. So decent effort.
SmoothCriminal, Waleed the Fifa player won his first two matches in his group. And then lost the other two……sad. If I am not mistaken this is the first time we have a fifa representative so kudos to the dude!
Salahuddin/pantera won 2 matches as well. Good WCG. Pakistan actually won something in all games!
In addition, Zero my constant refreshes and utter time wasting has indicated that the SK website seems to be updating news the fastest, followed by the MYM site. SK also has a live blog running which seems decent though not as good as the ones gotfrag provided in the past. But its missing C&C coverage.
