GITEX Shopping and Consumer Electronics Expo in Dubai has already begun since 18th October, which will feature GITEX Digital Gaming World with both Console and PC gaming tournaments.

Famous teams from around the world like SK Gaming, mTw Gaming, MYM Gaming, miBr, Team Digitnas, Fnatic, and Mousports will be clashing in a Counter Strike 1.6 tournament held in unison with Electronic Sports League (ESL). With 1st Place getting $25,000 and the 2nd aiming for $10,000 the total prize money for this tournament will be $50,000.

The organizers expect around 3000 gamers to converge for this event. Apart from CS1.6, the GITEX organizers will also have show matches and tournaments for WarCraft 3 and FIFA 2009.

The Expo amongst all the Electronic goodies on display also has a Free Play Area to allow new people to experience gaming and expose them to this world. This is a great opportunity for Pakistani gamers to fly down to Dubai, take part and qualify for such events. Events like these have the potential to expo local and regional players to some of the best around the world.
