Stud Wins World Cyber Games War 3 Spot!
I report this with great honour that one of our closest friends, and a contributor of news to the gamerpk blog, Bilal Rasheed aka Stud, has won the single slot for the normal 1 vs 1 WarCraft 3 from Pakistan last week.
In a personal chat with Stud he mentioned he was “really happy and excited to represent Pakistan.” He appreciated how Wateen Telecom has been promoting gaming in Pakistan on it’s own and also admired Rafey Majeed aka TheGame as his toughest opponent in the tournament.

It comes as no surprise to many of us, his friends, that he has managed to win this spot with his unrelenting hard work, practice hours, and adoption of professional gaming techniques. His regular practice with some of the best players around the world added to his knowledge about the weakness of his race and play style.
Stud also faced TinY in his ascension to the winner’s spot. Rafey Majeed who plays as an Orc in WC3 has represented Pakistan in the same tournament and in Electronic Sports World Cup before. TinY who plays as Humans has also managed to qualify for international tournaments before.
We are proud to mention that Rafey is a writer with us and Stud is a regular contributor to our blog.
Pakistan has been participating in the World Cyber Games since 2005 in CounterStrike 1.6, FIFA, Need For Speed and WarCraft 3 events. This time, Wateen Telecom, the sponsors of the national playoff are taking our players to Germany where the world finals event will take place.
The preliminaries were held in 8 different cities of Pakistan (5 more than all the previous times), with 10 gaming cafes in all. I tip my hat for Wateen Telecom for genuinely pursuing a more well rounded national final. While their website remains outdated, we got to know that the winner won a Rs. 17,500 check. Now we all can gauge what the runners-up and winners of other games won.

Dont know where this should be going but it seems stud has won four of his matches in the grand final including Sokol, the best player in his group and is now in a three way tie for second place and may get to bracket play!

Yes he went 4-2 in his group and even won a match in the tie-breaker between him, pinke and sokol. Kim and sokol made it through to the top 16 though. Lets see if the rest of the pakistani teams (cs, fifa and cnc3) can do this good
