Wi-Tribe in Pakistan [Rumor]
We come to know through another blog from Pakistan that the much promised WiMAX technology for the companies owned by the Orsacom group in Pakistan is here. It goes by the name Wi-Tribe and currently operates in Jordan. They are planning to run their their WiMAX services through LINKdotNET. If that happens, they will be Wateen WiMAX’s only competition in the country and might spur both of them in a heated competition.
From Wi-Tribe’s website I learn that they are deep into providing WiMAX and also into providing Wi-Fi hot spots all over Jordan.

First of all congrats for such a wonderful blog as i its amazing specially for a person like me who is too much into these games. Secondly, the main purpose of dropping this mail is to correct some fact that Wi-Tribe is not a subsidiary of Orascom Telecom rather its owned by Qatar Telecom and ATTCO. LinkdotNEt is a subsidiary of OT. So to sum it up, there will be now three WiMAX operators in Pakistan i.e Wateen Telecom owned by Dhabi Group, LinkdotNet owned by Orascom Telecom and Wi-Tribe owned by Qatar Telecom and ATTCO.

Wi-tribe is not the Orascom Company and not launching its wimax under Orascom company. Wi-tribe is a joint venture of QTel,ATCO, Clear wire & Burraq Telecom and we will launch our product & services in this year.
