Masters of Paris: Quake 3 Invitational [ESWC]
In ESWC, Europe, First Person Shooters, France, Masters Of Paris, Quake 3 Arena.
Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) is paying homage to one of the great games that has been played on the competitive arena by sending an invitation to nearly 30 odd pro-Quake 3 gamers from around the world to participate in against each other and earn a berth in the upcoming ESWC tournament in Paris, France. The grand final will be attended by 3 of these 16 invited players who have not qualified through National Qualifiers. SK-Gaming has more,
The event will have sixteen international invitees and the top four French players from ESWC France. The three best players that have not qualified through national qualifiers will win berths to the ESWC Grand Final in San Jose.
The list includes the world’s top Quake 4 players that the fans haven’t had the time to forget, several unknowns and a few interesting “comeback names.” The major names missing are Johan “Toxic” Quick, Anton “Cooller” Singov and Paul “czm” Nelson.
Some of the names in the list have already retired or gone into hibernation or been playing Quake 4. It would be interesting to see some of the former best players of Quake 3 play this game once again in the ESWC Masters Of Paris. A small but passionate community of Quake 3 player still exists in Pakistan today. However, gone are the days when this game ruled the roost.
