HD Camcorder for $169 [Bargain]
About two years ago I bought a camcorder that had a flip open 2.5 inch LCD display, mp3 player, USB 2.0 ports, 3 mega pixel still image capture, and few other features. But it wasn’t a High Definition camera, and didn’t really had a good frame rate even at 800 x 600.
This cheap HD Camcorder, DXG-569G, by DXG has a 30 fps rate on 1200 x 700 pixels and is only for $169 dollars. The one I bought 2 years ago was good for it’s price then, at $149. Here is what Engadget had to say:
While DXG has few aspirations to taste or quality, they sure know how to price this stuff. The new DXG-569V HD cam can shoot 1280 x 720 video at 30 fps, captures 5 megapixel stills and sports a 3-inch foldout LCD, all for the bargain basement price of $169. Naturally, that video quality probably won’t be putting RED ONE out of a job, and you’ll need to supply your own SD card to make the magic happen, but if that doesn’t dissuade you, you can swipe one from a Radio Shack shelf in silver or black as of today.
I would recommend this, other cameras of this kind to anyone who is looking for a cheap, quick fix, HD recording mechanism with has good portability and is light. What you do need to look into is what memory types it supports (SD Flash cards in this case), whether it has a tripod screw, and what kind of video outlets it offers. Night vision is a plus, but I don’t expect it to be that marvelous considering it’s cramped up chip for smaller size.
Even then, it’s a really good bargain. Rs. 12,000 @ Rs. 70/Dollar.
