The much awaited response from the World Cyber Game’s organization about their poll about the most preferred games for 2008 events has finally come through. WCG 2008 will have the following games:
For the PC:
- StarCraft: BroodWar in 1v1
- WarCraft III: Frozen Throne in 1v1
- Counter-Strike 1.6 in 5v5
- FIFA Soccer 2008 in 1v1
- Need For Speed: Pro Street in 1v1
- Command and Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath in 1v1
- Red Stone in 4v4
- Carom3D in 1v1
- Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties in 1v1
For the Xbox 360:
- Halo 3 in 4v4
- Guitar Hero 3 in 1v1
- Project Gotham Racing 4 in 1v1
- Virtua Fighter 5 in 1v1
For the Mobile:
- Asphalt in 1v1
As usual, qualifiers and preliminaries will be held in cities around the world, and after national finals, teams will come forward for the Grand Finals, that are being held in Berlin (Correction: Cologne, Thanks Chapree) this year.
