StarCraft 2: Zerg Rush the Media
After revealing the trailer and the gameplay videos for the Zerg race in StarCraft 2, Blizzard has released tonnes of new screenshots for this elusive race. The Zerg, true to their nature, seems to be a very aggressive yet fragile race.
Depending on their sheer numbers, they will try to take out an enemy early on, or keep harassing him till a point comes where a player’s micro (unit control) for the Zerg determines the winner. Since the days of StarCraft 1, they have been on the losing side of tanking damage, and small numbers easily got ‘blown’ away by the heavy artillery of the Terran or the sophisticated psi-damage of the Protoss.
Comparisons to the Undead race of the WarCraft 3 franchise have been drawn and vice versa. Not only gameplay philosophies are similar, a few units are similar too, and the most stark resemblance to each other has to be their overpowered, or rather over whelming, nuking spells or damage. May pro-gamers were asked about their opinions on this game, and they are well aggregated translations on the Team Liquid website.
