My quest to WoW: An epic FAIL!
So in a shopping spree in 2006 I went on an bought World of WarCraft US-CD and a 60 day game card, knowing that one day I will be able to play WoW. That day would be when I am free from studying, college, have a good internet connection and time to burn. So about a week back I decided unpack and install the virgin CD’s.
There are Five CDs in that pack and no it was not a DVD pack. By the time I reach the 4th CD, my CD drive heats up to hellish temperatures and with a “bong!” the installation crashes. A CRC Error on Patch.mpq. This has been happening to me over all of the previous installations that take an average of 2 hours to complete. 2 hours to get to the 4th CD. Every time I pray with fingers crossed that that “bong!” doesn’t happen, but it does.
Even reading up on the problem on the internet didn’t help. There is no clear solution to it than people suggesting hardware or firmware up gradation. Which for me is a quest still in the distant future.

Any tips or advice or help would be appreciated!
