Comments that make no sense…
Why do people post them? Here is a master piece of a comment from an Indian gaming blog. Dude needs to learn to be a cynic.
…China is going to climb nowhere in the gaming market…
If there was any other country worth of competing at the highest level in e-sports, it would be China. RocketBoy a famous Quake 3 player, the Human player Sky, and countless many form a formidable army of Chinese gamers who have performed and won on the highest levels. Countless tournaments take place in China, WEG, CEG, WGT to name a few.
Not to forget they are going to have Digital Games this year in Shanghai, too. WTF is this dude talking about?

So, Rafey told me about this blog and I am here!! Anyway, zero your point might be out of context here. The article you linked talks about the market of console and PC games in India, not about e-sports. I mean Korea might be the most advanced e-sports nation doesn’t mean that it’s the biggest market for games in general. Same goes for China.

I apologize for not creating a connection between my comment, the article and the comment posted there. Let me try.
E-sports is a by-product of the casual gaming market, be it console or PC. It is always going to have a user base that is smaller than the casual gamer market. That’s all I’d say, checkout this article on wikipedia about online gaming in China which cites number of sources that state the number of Chinese playing games online. And this one too.
I think the gaming market is going somewhere in China. Same is the case with consumer electronics.
BTW, may I know who this is?
