3G2 Pavilion: Micronet’s Gaming Service!

Posted by zEro on Wednesday, November 14th, 2007
In Broadband, Gaming, Internet, Pakistan.

I just reviewed some of my frequently visited links and updated the link list on the blog. Some URLs were mistyped and needed fixing.

I came across some new links, like the 3rd Generation Gamer’s Pavilion, a gaming service run by a DSL company called Micronet Broadband in Pakistan. MBL offers three major games at the moment, Call of Duty 3 (COD3), Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (MoHAA), Counter Strike 1.6 (CS 1.6), and Unreal Tournament 2004 (UT2004). All are team First Person Shooter games. Their rates are coming down gradually, too.

Dancom, their competitors in Islamabad, also have had their servers up and running since a while now. The great thing is these servers are run free of cost and charge for any user over the internet, unlike WorldCall’s servers that are only accessible by their clients.

It is encouraging to see companies stepping up to claim the gaming market which has a lot of potential for ISPs, especially broadband companies. I intend to do a complete survey for all major DSL providers in and around Islamabad, and their going rates.

üGX is 3 days away! :O

Firstly, its real nice to see a felow gamer in Pakistan who is into serious gaming ! I only know of two or three other people other than me who are real gamers… not just casual ones :)
And i am an mbl-user since 2005, and one of the first few ppl to play / pronote the MBL 3Gsqr server, and now im a mbl server admin of the UT Server, all for the love of gaming ! (u can see me by the nick of c0d3r at the forums: http://www.games.dsl.net.pk/forum )

The mbl-servers are free for all who want to play, and are for gamers only. People who really like to play and have a super community of people who help and have gup-shup wiht each other ;)
